1、 Characteristics of PCB ink
1. Viscosity and thixotropy
Screen printing is one of the essential and important processes in the manufacturing process of printed circuit boards. To achieve the fidelity of image replication, ink must have good viscosity and suitable thixotropy.
2. Fineness
The pigments and mineral fillers of PCB ink are generally solid, and after fine grinding, their particle size does not exceed 4/5 micrometers, forming a homogeneous flow state in a solid form.
2、 Types of PCB ink
PCB ink is mainly divided into three categories: three lines, solder mask, and character ink.
1. Circuit ink serves as a barrier layer to prevent corrosion of the circuit, protecting the circuit during etching, and is generally liquid photosensitive; There are two types of corrosion resistance: acid corrosion and alkali corrosion.
2. Solder resistant ink is used to protect the circuit after it is completed. There are liquid photosensitive, heat cured, and UV hardened types, which retain solder pads on the board for easy soldering of components and provide insulation and oxidation resistance.
3. Character ink is used to mark the surface of the board, such as labeling with component symbols, usually in white.
