In short: impedance circuit board refers to the circuit board that needs impedance control. Impedance control refers to that under a high-frequency signal, the "resistance" generated by a line layer to its reference layer during signal transmission must be controlled within the rated range to ensure that the signal is not distorted during transmission. Circuit board impedance control is actually to make every part of the system have the same impedance value, that is, impedance matching.
From the perspective of PCB manufacturing, the main factors affecting impedance and key factors are:
W - Line width/line to line width increase impedance decreases, distance increases impedance increases;
H - impedance increases with the increase of insulation thickness;
T - impedance decreases with the increase of copper thickness;
H1 - impedance decreases with the increase of green oil thickness;
Er -- the dielectric constant reference layer DK value increases, and the impedance decreases;
Undercut - - W1-Wundercut increases, and the impedance increases.
Note: In fact, resistance welding also has an impact on the impedance of the circuit board. It is only because the resistance welding layer is attached to the medium, resulting in an increase in the dielectric constant. If this is attributed to the influence of the dielectric constant, the impedance value will be reduced by about 4%.
